Current practices
Home Routine Guide provides public webpages, privacy-focused site analytics, browser-based planning tools, a browser-saved checklist, a business contact mailbox, an optional email newsletter, and digital products sold through a third-party checkout. The site does not currently offer customer accounts or intentionally collect sensitive home records through its public tools.
Browser-saved tool data
The interactive First 30 Days checklist and home-inspection action planner use your browser’s local storage to remember entries on your device. The maintenance budget and contractor-comparison tools perform calculations in your browser. Information entered into those tools is not intentionally transmitted to Home Routine Guide by the tools themselves. You can remove saved information with the available reset or clear controls, or by clearing browser site data.
The inspection action planner can create a CSV file locally in your browser. The file is downloaded directly to your device; Home Routine Guide does not receive the exported plan. Do not enter access codes, account numbers, exact security details, or other sensitive information into browser-based tools.
Newsletter and Kit
Home Routine Guide uses Kit, an email-marketing and commerce service, to operate newsletter signup forms, send subscriber emails, host product checkout, deliver digital files, and maintain purchase records. When you subscribe, Kit may process information such as your email address, signup time, consent or confirmation status, source form, IP address, and email-delivery or engagement information needed to operate and protect the service.
Newsletter signup is optional and separate from ordinary messages sent to info@homeroutineguide.com. Subscribers may unsubscribe using the link included in marketing emails. Removing yourself from the newsletter does not automatically delete unrelated correspondence or transaction records that must be retained for customer service, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, or legal purposes.
Kit’s own terms and privacy practices also apply to information it processes as a service provider. Newsletter forms and commerce buttons may load code and other resources from Kit-controlled domains.
Payments and digital-product purchases
Digital-product checkout is currently provided through Kit Commerce, with payment processing powered by Stripe. When you purchase a product, Kit, Stripe, payment-method providers, and related service providers may process information required to complete and protect the transaction. Depending on the checkout and payment method, this may include your name, email address, billing or payment details, product purchased, price, transaction date, country or approximate location, IP address, device or browser information, fraud-prevention signals, and transaction status.
Payment credentials are submitted through the third-party checkout rather than through a form hosted directly on homeroutineguide.com. Do not send credit-card numbers, bank information, passwords, or government identification documents to the Home Routine Guide support mailbox.
Home Routine Guide may receive or access customer and transaction information needed to deliver the product, confirm a purchase, provide support, issue an approved refund, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations. This can include the buyer’s name and email address, product and price, purchase date, country where available, discount information, transaction or invoice identifiers, refund status, and gross or net revenue information.
Product delivery and customer support
Kit may send transactional emails and display a download link after purchase. If you contact us about a purchase, we may ask for the buyer email address, purchase date, product name, and transaction or invoice information reasonably necessary to locate the order. Do not email the downloaded binder after filling it with private household, insurance, financial, or security information.
Business email
Readers and customers may contact us at info@homeroutineguide.com. Email messages normally include the sender’s address, message content, technical routing information, and anything the sender chooses to include. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, full inspection reports, government identification numbers, alarm codes, access codes, or other sensitive records.
Hosting and routine technical data
The site is currently hosted through GitHub Pages. Hosting providers and internet infrastructure may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, referring page, and error or security logs as part of delivering and protecting the service. Their processing is governed by their own policies.
Fonts and external links
The site currently requests fonts from Google Fonts. External links may take you to government agencies, manufacturers, retailers, Kit, Stripe, payment-method providers, or other websites. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. Home Routine Guide does not control third-party sites.
Analytics, commerce reporting, and advertising
Home Routine Guide uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service, to understand aggregate visits, page views, referral sources, page paths, country, device type, browser, operating system, navigation type, and page-load performance such as Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data and does not track individual end users across its customers’ Internet properties. The analytics beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and, because this site is not proxied through Cloudflare, sends analytics data to cloudflareinsights.com. Home Routine Guide uses this information to evaluate content, site reliability, and usability—not to build individual visitor profiles or personalize advertising. Cloudflare’s own privacy practices also apply.
Kit may provide form, email, checkout, transaction, conversion, fraud-prevention, and commerce reporting connected to the services it operates. Home Routine Guide does not currently use a separate personalized-advertising tracker. Before adding advertising, affiliate tracking, or similar technologies, this policy will be updated and any legally required notices or choices will be implemented.
Home-related information
The downloadable products are designed to be completed by the customer on their own device or on paper. Home Routine Guide does not ask customers to upload completed binder pages. Those pages may contain sensitive details such as utility controls, emergency contacts, equipment information, insurance notes, or contractor records, so customers should store completed copies securely and share them carefully.
Children
The site and products are intended for adults managing or purchasing a home. They are not directed to children.
Security and retention
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Home Routine Guide will use reasonable measures appropriate to the services offered and will avoid collecting information that is unnecessary for the task. Newsletter, correspondence, support, and transaction records may be retained as reasonably needed to operate the service, document consent, fulfill orders, handle disputes or refunds, prevent abuse, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may choose not to subscribe, unsubscribe from marketing emails, avoid entering information into optional tools, clear browser-saved checklist or planning data, or contact us about a privacy request. Purchase-related records may still need to be retained when required for transaction, accounting, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal purposes. Requests may require reasonable verification before action is taken.
Policy changes
This policy may change as analytics, products, accounts, payment processing, or other features are introduced. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
